This makes 45 biscuits :D!
- 450g / 1lb butter
- 225g / 8oz caster sugar
- 225g / 8oz plain white flour
- 1/4 teaspoon bi-carb
- 600g / 1lb porridge oats
- 7.5cm / 3in round cookie cutter
- Cooking chocolate – add much as you think you’ll need 😀
Preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F / gas mark 4
Cream the butter & sugar until light and fluffy.
Sieve the flour and bi-carb together & gradually add to the butter & sugar.
Add the porridge oats and mix well.
Divide into 4 parts, roll out to a thickness of 1cm / 1/2 inch and use the cookie cutter.
Add to several baking trays and bake for 20-25mins.
Leave to cool.
Melt the chocolate in a heat proof bowl over a pan of hot water.
spread the chocolate over the biscuits.
