Living in Japan – what can I say? Wow! Sugoi! This was an experience!
From a young age I was obsessed with Japan and when I had the opportunity to live there, I didn’t think twice. Finishing my summer job I applied for a working holiday visa, knowing that if I didn’t I would regret it. A few months later I landed in Osaka arriving in December and spent my time working in a guest house through Work Away which is similar to Woofing.
Originally my plan was to travel around Japan and volunteer at different locations but I enjoyed my first placement so much I ended up staying for 8 months. It was lovely to witness Osaka change throughout the seasons. I also picked up a part time job teaching English.

For my final 2 months I decided to travel around Japan hitchhiking and wild camping. The kindness of strangers was incredible and I made life-long memories! ♥
